Being restaurateurs is the very essence of our souls. We met working together in a restaurant in 1984, Jim was cooking and I worked as a server. We dated continuously until we were married in 1989. Three years later our first daughter was born, Carissa Rose and two years following Melina Mae completed our family. It wasn't long after we decided to break away and start our own business and in November of 1995 Rosa Mae's Cafe was begun. It was a hot spot in downtown High Point and the furniture market business was an added bonus. At this point I had begun doing cakes for the restaurant and slowly started a little catering during market. Over the years many of the businesses moved from the area and left us ready to find a new location. We moved the restaurant closer to our home at 1322 National Hwy in Thomasville, and with the girls growing quickly and the catering business being a larger part of the business we decided to keep the downtown High Point location for catering only. We remained at that location for several years until we received the opportunity to purchase our own building. In 2010 we moved into our current location.
Carissa Rose is now a junior at NCSU, and Melina Mae is a junior at HPU.
Jim and I are pleased to have served the city of High Point and the town of Thomasville for nearly twenty years. Customer service has always been our highest priority.
